Hogwarts Mystery Trailer Out: Will the new game live up to the expectations of the Potterheads?

As Potterheads across the world gear up for a new and exciting year with the Crimes of Grindelwald about to release in November this year, another new extravaganza is in store for them. Hogwarts Mystery trailer was released by Jam City and it is nothing less than MAGICAL. It is a role-playing game stuffed with cameos from the wizarding world. The game is to be released later this year and users can pre-register in Google Play.

At first, the game looks promising with high-quality graphics and lined up characters. What we can perceive from the trailer is that either the sorting house chooses our house or we get to choose it ourselves. We can also create our own characters and experience life as a Hogwarts student. However, the game will launch under Portkey Games which is a new label dedicated to the magical world of J.K Rowling.

As I went through the trailer, I witnessed few known and unknown faces. The known faces were Professor Flitwick, Professor Dumbledore, Professor Sprout, and Hagrid. The game is set in the Hogwarts of the 1980’s, so in that case, we see Bill Weasley, the elder brother of Ron. We see realistic features such as the Hogwarts letter and the owl. The Hogwarts hall also the ceremony, everything gives a real feeling and also gives me goosebumps.  The premises look almost identical except little tweaks here and there as the game designer had to maintain its originality as well. You can go on your own Hogwarts adventure and seek for the hidden Harry in you, or any other of your favorite character.

To me, the game looks promising. Let’s see how well does it turn out to be after its launch and how user-friendly it is.
